Ivy League Bars that would make good choices for those who value a lye soap for poison ivy. There is Plain-o and the others have additional things in them that have been recommended for poison ivy. We understand from our own use and confirmed use of others. To wash thoughly with any bar after exposure to the troublesome plants, and that should keep from having an outbreak, and if an out break has started, wash the area throughly and then come back again over the area with bar in hand and nails exposed and throughly scrub the entire invected area vigorously and rinse, this has stopped the out break and controlled itching for the day reapeat in evening, many people are fine to do this twice a day for two days and others that are more sensitive find they have to do it for 4 or so day this way. |
